THE COSTA BLANCA

One of Spain’s most popular regions

The Costa Blanca impresses with its wonderful climate, long coastline with many different beautiful beaches and crystal-clear sea. The region is the ideal place to feel at home, not only for vacationers but also as a second or permanent residence.

  • Health: The northern Costa Blanca offers mild winters, abundant sunshine year-round and one of the world’s best microclimates (WHO). The pure, clean air (no industry) and healthy Mediterranean cuisine contribute to stable health. Specialized German-speaking doctors are available.
  • Travel: Easy access via the international airports of Valencia or Alicante. Both are approximately 1 – 1.5 hours drive away depending on location. The drive is comfortable via the AP7 highway from the north.
  • Location: The northern Costa Blanca is ideally located for excursions and trips to the beautiful inland: The major cities Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia or Alicante are all quickly accessible. Excellent infrastructure with easy connections to the Spanish highway network complete this ideal location. Ferries from Denia enable travel to Ibiza, Mallorca or Formentera.
  • Sports: Golf, tennis, water sports, hiking, horseback riding, skiing in the winter areas of Teruel or Sierra Nevada
  • Gastronomy: The Costa Blanca offers tremendous variety: from affordable daily menus to gastronomic experiences with star chefs. For example, in Jávea on Tripadvisor, over 100 restaurants (out of 300 total) have ratings of 4.5 out of 5 or higher. This speaks to above-average quality.
  • Leisure: Great selection of shopping centers, daily live music in restaurants or bars (even outside of season), music festivals, local festivals (like Fallas, Moros y Cristianos, Hogueres etc.), many recreational parks for young and old.
