Moraira
Moraira is located directly on the sea on the Costa Blanca and, as part of the municipality of Teulada, belongs to the Marina Alta region. This popular holiday resort is situated approximately 80 km north of Alicante and about 100 km south of Valencia, stretching over a length of 8 km with numerous bays and beaches and developed hills along the coast. Moraira and Teulada together have a total of approximately 12,000 inhabitants.
Despite tourism, the town has managed to preserve its authenticity. Nestled between mountains and sea, the climate here has an average annual temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. Over 300 sunny days and the protective hills towards the cool north shape the climate.
The original fishing village of Moraira offers pristine natural beaches. Rocky coves and sandy beaches alternate. The watchtower of Cap d’Or and the castle on the beach are considered landmarks of the town.
Moraira has an incredible amount to offer!

The Old Town
In the old town and city center of Moraira you will find everything you could wish for during your vacation.
Here you’ll find many small bars, nice cafés, bank branches, restaurants and shops. Another recommended destination for a shopping trip (if the selection here isn’t enough for you) is Benissa.
The town is very easily accessible by car, you simply need to follow the CV-743 to Teulada and then turn onto the N-322, which will take you to Benissa. The journey takes only about 15 minutes, and even if you’re not in the mood for shopping – Benissa is very pretty and definitely worth a visit!
The fishing village of Moraira also offers pristine natural beaches. Rocky coves and sandy beaches alternate. The watchtower of Cap d’Or and the castle on the beach are considered landmarks of the town.
The eastern coastal section of Moraira is characterized by the protected bay Platja del Portet, whose rocky eastern flank extends 1 km into the sea to Cap d’Or (also: Punta de Moraira), followed by Cala Portitxol. Directly adjacent to the marina in the east lies the small bay Cala Portitxol. The L’Ampolla beach extends to the west of the castle. Here the beach is separated from the old town by a palm-lined promenade. Further southwest, a beach promenade connects the two beaches Les Platgetes. The last two beaches of the town are Cala Andragó and Cala Cap Blanc.
The Harbor
The yacht club offers 630 berths for boats up to 30 m, with water depths of 6 to 3 meters. Year after year it receives the EU’s “Blue Flag” award. It includes a social club equipped with restaurants and shops. Sailing courses and competitions are also organized in summer. The regional championships for keel yachts are held at Easter, and the offshore regatta “Moraira Santa Eulalia” takes place at the end of September. Club Nautico de Moraira also operates a sailing school in summer.
The six piers are located to the west, one directly in front of the Club Nautico building. The fuel station is located just behind the entrance on the western breakwater. At the foot of the western breakwater there is a travel lift, a column slewing crane and a slipway.
Between Marina Moraira and the Almoraira peninsula with Cabo de Oro lies an anchorage well protected from easterly to northerly winds. Partial mooring buoys available. Beach with restaurants. When winds turn southerly or westerly, the marina is only 400 m away.
