  • The Cala Arenal is Jàvea’s only sandy beach and invites you to spend the whole day there with its numerous restaurants and bars and beautiful promenade.
  • Cala 2 on Muntanyar is a pebble beach located south of the Arenal.
  • Cala Blanca is the continuation of the previous beach and is also stony and rocky. Climb through the famous rock hole that the sea once created. A must for every photo album!

  • Cala Barraca or Cala Portitxol has a rock and pebble beach opposite the island Isla de Portitxol south of Cabo la Nao. Here you’ll find two excellent beach bars and the famous blue door in front of which many well-known models have been photographed. Dare to take a photo too, …
  • Cala Ambolo has a stone and rock beach with naturist bathing on the southeast side of Cabo la Nao.
  • Cala Granadella is one of the most beautiful and famous bathing bays west of Cab de la Nau. It’s picturesque, stony and rocky. When swimming further out, snorkeling and diving, however, you’ll find enchanting sandy bottom and incredible marine nature. The steep slopes on the sides protect from wind and invite hiking and climbing. A few meters above the sea there’s a former castle with a small viewpoint. From here you can admire the calm and crystal-clear water.
  • Cala del Moraigis an idyllic bay with a pebble beach and very clear water, located at the foot of an impressive cliff coast. In summer you can refresh yourself in a cozy beach bar with small tapas and delicious drinks. The bay isn’t just suitable for bathing though. There’s another attraction! The Cova dels Arcs, a beautiful water cave from which an underground river flows into the sea. A magnet for many divers! But climbing enthusiasts also get their money’s worth on the steep slopes.

Beaches and bays of Moraira:

  • The Club Nautico Beachor Cala Portichol is only accessible through Moraira’s exclusive yacht harbor and is usually only accessible to people who have moored their boats in the harbor. It’s still worth asking politely though, as other visitors are often allowed through and the beach is ideal for snorkeling, diving and fishing.
  • Cala Llebeig is a dreamlike bay at the mouth of the Barranc de la Viuda gorge and lies exactly between the towns of Teulada-Moraira and Benitachel and has no road access. It can only be reached on foot or by sea at the gorge from Teulada-Moraira or through the path next to the cliff from El Poble Nou in Benitachell (Ruta de los Acantilados). The old fishermen’s houses near the seashore surround the bay and you’ll find the rocky platform Punta de L’Alderà at the left end of the bay, right in the middle of the foot of the Morro del Bou mountain.

Beaches of Dénia

The approximately 20-kilometer long fine sandy beach seems tangibly endless, offers both relaxation and adventure, and is never overcrowded due to its size.

Right at Denia’s city center is the beach section Las Marinas. Besides various beach and water sports, you can enter the water very safely here, as the water deepens only very gradually. Ideal for families with children and beginning swimmers. In some places you can walk about 30 meters toward the horizon and still have ground under your feet.

Further south in the Las Rotas district begins the diving paradise “Cabo San Antonio”. The beach becomes rockier here and transitions into steep cliffs. It’s therefore less suitable for relaxation. However, divers appreciate the pristine underwater nature all the more.
